Another day bites the dust

We had our neighbor come to precision edge our massive lawn and he did an excellent job and it cost me a mere $150.00— more than happy to pay — He did a great job. I believe we will have him do our flower beds and our taxus yew bushes out front of the manse too. Good help is hard to find and this guy is the absolute best.

I just heard that the Pope has lung cancer. He is a good man. Let us pray for his health.

Right now, the evening news is on on the television….Jimmy is glued to the screen — I am trying to avoid it because the news these days does nothing but rattle my nerves and try my patience…although it does provide for some wonderful rants and rages … most of which I keep to myself out of a sense of propriety.

Trust me when I tell you that there is nothing like a good old beef bologna (baloney) sandwich on toast with onion and a ton of mayonnaise. (Or Mom’s too-mater dumplings.”) Of course there is the iconic chipped beef on toast (SOS)— that most military veterans can remember.

I remember when I was a snot-nosed kid with an over-sized set of balls and was in the Army National Guard.

One evening while we were on our summer encampment at Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky, our First Sergeant, one fat slob of a man with an atrociously impatient temper announced that he was going to get me drunk and laid one evening after duty hours. He kept half his word: He locked me in a barracks cadre room with a brand new bottle of Kosher Grape Wine and I got drunk as a skunk. I also got brave and decided to go and hunt the sergeant up and “Kick his ass.” I am so glad that I never got to do that because I was a raw recruit, straight off the streets, and the sergeant I am talking about was an experienced combat veteran home from the Korean War. I got lucky that night.

Did I ever mention that I got my million-dollar credit rating when I was just 35 years old? That is another story which I have already covered in a series of intermittent articles entitled, “The Imaginary Billionaire” on another blog. Did I ever mention that shitloads of expendable cash can also be a deadly trap that can destroy lives?

I am going into the expansive living room now and sit on the enormous over-stuffed sectional couch and turn on my 47-inch flat screen tv and watch another couple of episodes of “Boardwalk Empire.” I love that series because what’s his name that plays the role of Nucky Thompson has become one of my favorite actors even though I can rarely remember his name off the top of my head.

Did I mention that my heart medication seems to have been doing it’s job for a couple of weeks now and I can actually relax a little after months of worry. I did escape the horrors of a pace maker. That is a good thing. Well I have escaped it for now, that is. I have to have a sleep study in march to see if my afib is bad enough to warrant one. There are times when I love science and there are times when I do not love it as much.

Howdy!

Thought I would clean the trash out of here and add more trash to it. Hope yo u all enjoy what I am about to put on here. We will not, however, be beginning with my personal scrotal inclinations because those days are long since gone. The only such satisfaction I get now is when I visit the super market and attempt to buy food. Some of the super markets are quite adept at providing at least a modicum of mental libidinal interactions and it starts with the price tags on the shelves.
