Congratulate Me, I Have Tracheomalacia

Couldn’t have come at a better time and couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.

Now I think I have a lead on the very thing that could escort me from this world.

Am I worried?

Does a bear still shit in the woods?

Of course worry is useless because only God can change the inevitable. I do have the peace that passes all understanding though and that is worth its weight in gold or platinum of what the hell ever.

I am sure, that like most human beings, when the time comes for me to go, I will be kicking and screaming and cursing– I hope not…but I would not put it past me.

I have a consolation: God got me safely into this world and He will get me safely out.

Now later on in the day, I get a phone call from the scheduler at the VA Hospital wanting me to call in to get an appointment for my next cat scan– which a good thing — and to schedule an appoint for evaluation for home oxygen which is not a good thing.

I am not going to go “Frankenstein” for anybody!

Other than that it has been a fine day– with the sole exception of the case of weeping dermatitis that I have developed in a more or less unmentionable place…on a rather private member of my physiology …nuff said ….

88 has not been a good year for me so far… but like I said somewhere before, I am above ground and that, to me, is a good thing.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about your troubles, John. As I understand it, Tracheomalacia is treatable to some degree with steroid inhalers. I hope that they find something to alleviate the condition for you.

    Best wishes, Pete.
